THE PROUD PEACOCK
Show the following pictures and encourage the students to frame the story.
Answer:
Once, there was a peacock. It was very beautiful. It danced very well. It had a big beautiful tail. One day, it met a crane. The crane was white in colour. It had long legs and long neck.
The peacock said, “Look, I am very beautiful. Lean dance very well. I have beautiful tail. You cannot dance. You are ugly to look at. “Your legs and neck are ugly to look at.”
The crane thought, “It appears to be true. Yes. I cannot dance. I am ugly to look at. My neck and my legs are ugly. The crane talked to his friend squirrel. The squirrel said you can challenge the Peacock, certainly you will win”. The squirrel whispered of something in the ears of the crane.
Next morning, the crane went to the peacock.
Dear brother, I am not as beautiful as you are. But, I can fly. How about you? Can you fly?” The peacock took the challenge the fle said, “It is very easy. I have big wings and bigger tail.” the peacock tried to fly. But it couldn’t. The crane said,” We should not be proud”, The peacock left the place.
