Answer:
Reasons for climate change:-
- Deforestation (cutting trees) for buildings
- Usage of large no. of vehicles leads to air pollution.
- Release of harmful chemicals, sewage in water.
- Usage of plastic in large quantity which do not degrade.
- Indiscriminate use of the natural resources such as water, coal, petrol are the main reasons for climate change.

Answer:
In our village, people are suffering from drought: I feel that the following may be the reasons for drought.
- Due to not getting timely rainfall because of climatic changes.
- Climatic changes arise due to human activities like deforestation, releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere, usage of plastic etc. Which leads to soil, water and air pollution.

Answer:
- We will keep seperate containers for wet and dry wastes in the kitchen.
- Keep two bags for dry waste collection i.e for paper and plastic etc., and for rest of the house hold waste.

Eco-friendly means not harmful to the envirounment:

- I use carry bags made up of paper, jute or cloth.
- I use seperate garbage into dry waste and wet waste.
- I use stainless steel glasses or bottles instead of plastic bottles.
- I use kitchen wastes as manure.
- I do not waste paper.
- I will plant trees.
- During festivals I use only eco-friendly idols,colours and all other materials.

What is ” chipko” movement? Who initiated it?
Answer:
In 1970’s an orgaized resistance to the destruction of forest spread throught out India by the villagers in such a way ” Villagers hugged the trees, and pre vented the contractors from cutting them’. This is known as chipko movement. Sundarlal Bahuguna, an environmentalist initiated the ‘Chipko Movement’.
