ఈ తోలుబొమ్మలాట గ్రామీణ జీవితాలను ప్రతిబింబించే ఆట. ఈ కళకు ఎంతో శ్రద్ధ, శ్రమ అవసరమనిపించింది. బొమ్మలు తయారు చేసే విధానంలో నేర్పు అవసరమనిపించింది. ఎన్నో పురాణగాధలు తెలిసి ఉండాలి అనిపించింది. ఎన్నో నీతి కథలు సూక్తులు, సామెతలు తెలిసి ఉండాలనిపించింది. అంతేకాదు – ఇది శ్రుత సాహిత్యంతో కూడినది కనుక ఎంతో జ్ఞాపకశక్తి అవసరమనిపించింది.

మీ ఊరి జాతరలో, పండుగలలో మీరు చూసిన జానపదకళల గురించి చెప్పండి.
జవాబు:
కోలాటం : ఈ జానపద కళ ఒక బృందంగా ప్రదర్శించబడుతుంది. ఈ ప్రదర్శనలోని కళాకారులు “సరి” పంఖ్యలో ఉంటారు. చక్కటి అందమైన రంగు రంగుల దుస్తులు ధరిస్తారు. వీరి చేతిలో రెండు కోలాటం కర్రలుంటాయి. వాటితో ప్రతి ఇద్దరూ జతగడుతూ లయాత్మకంగా తిరుగుతూ – చేతులలోని కర్రలతో కొడుతూ చప్పుడుచేస్తూ పాడతారు, ఆడతారు. ఆ సమయంలో వాళ్ళ , కాళ్ళకున్న గజ్జల చప్పుడు కూడా ఎంతో లయాత్మకంగా వినటానికి ఆనందంగా ఉంటుంది.

పాఠంలో మీకు నచ్చిన అంశం ఏమిటి? తోలుబొమ్మల్లా మీరు ఏయే బొమ్మలు తయారు చేస్తారు?

పాఠంలో నాకు నచ్చిన అంశం తోలుబొమ్మలు తయారు చేసే విధానం. ఇది చాలా కష్టంతో కూడినదని శ్రద్ధతో కూడినదనిపించింది. ఈ విధంగా మేము మట్టి బొమ్మలు . తయారు చేస్తాం. వినాయకచవితికి-సంక్రాంతికి బొమ్మలు తయారుచేసి వాటికి ప్రకృతికి హాని కలిగించని రంగులద్ది ప్రజలకు అందిస్తాం. ఈ మట్టి బొమ్మల్లో-మనషుల బొమ్మలు,దేవతల బొమ్మలు, పక్షుల బొమ్మలు, జంతువుల బొమ్మలు తయారు చేస్తాం.

తప్పెటగుండ్లు : జానపద కళారూపాలలో ఒకటైన తప్పెటగుండ్లు ప్రత్యేకించి విశాఖ జిల్లాలో ఎక్కువగా కనిపిస్తుంది. గుండ్రంగా రేకుతో చేసిన తప్పెట్లను ఈ బృందం కళాకారులు మెడలో వేసుకుని పాడుతూ ఆ పాటకు అనుగుణంగా గుండ్రంగా తిరుగుతూ నాట్యం చేస్తారు. పాటకు అనుగుణంగా తప్పెట్లను వాయిస్తుంటారు. ఈ వాయిద్యాల్ని, గుండెమీద ! పెట్టుకుని వాయించడం కారణంగా తప్పెట ‘గుండు’ అనే పేరు వచ్చినట్లుగా తెలుస్తోంది. యాదవులు ఈ తప్పెట గుండ్లను ప్రవర్శించేవాళ్ళు.

కోలాటం : గ్రామీణ ప్రాంత ప్రజలు తాము చేసే నిత్యకృత్యాలలోని అలసటను మరచిపోయేందుకు ఉపయోగించే కళారూపం కోలాటం. కోలాటం ఆటలో కళాకారుల రెండు చేతులలో కోలలు ధరించి వాటిని తాడిస్తూ కోలాటం ఆడుతారు. ఇందులో ఏకకోలాటం, జంట కోలాటం, జడకోలాటం, స్త్రీల కోలాటం, పురుషుల కోలాటం లాంటివి ఎన్నో ఉన్నాయి. కోలాటం నృత్యంలో సుమారు 16 మంది నుండి 40 మంది వరకు పాల్గొనవచ్చు.

సామెత : రోట్లో తలదూర్చి రోకటి పోటుకు వెరచినట్లు

అర్థం : ఒక విషయంలో ఇబ్బంది కలుగుతుందని తెలిసికూడా నెత్తినేసుకుని ఆ తరువాత వచ్చిపడే కష్టాన్ని తలచుకుని బాధపడటం.

సామెత : ఆవులిస్తే పేగులు లెక్క పెట్టినట్లు

అర్థం : పైన కనపడే విషయాన్ని బట్టి దాని లోతును గ్రహించడం, ఆసాధారణ ప్రతిభ, తెలివి తేటలు కలిగిన చోట ఉపయోగించే వాక్యం.

సృజనాత్మకత

తోలు బొమ్మల్లాగే మనం గుడ్డతో బొమ్మలు, కాగితంతో బొమ్మలు తయారు చేసుకోవచ్చు. ఇక్కడ వేలికి తొడిగే కాగితపు బొమ్మలను చూడండి. ఇలాంటివి తయారు చేద్దామా? అయితే కాగితాలు తీసుకోండి. మీరు బొమ్మలు తయారు చేయండి. వాటిని ఉపయోగించి. ఒక కథను చెప్పండి.

జవాబు:
కథ : అదొక దట్టమైన అడవి. ఆ అడవిలో చాలా రకాల జంతువులు నివసిస్తున్నాయి. ఒకరోజు పొడవు మెడ జిరాఫీ, జిత్తుల మారి నక్క, చెవుల పిల్లి, ఒక సమావేశమయ్యాయి. ఈ అడవిలో ఇన్నేళ్ళుగా నివసిస్తున్నాము మనకు తెలియని ప్రదేశం లేదు. మనం చూడని చోటు లేదు.

ఐతే మనలో గొప్ప ఎవరు? మనలో బలవంతుతుడు ఎవరు? అనే విషయం మీద వాదులాడుకున్నాయి. నేనంటే నేనని పోట్లాడుకున్నాయి. ఆ వాదన ఎంతకీ తెగటం లేదు. ఇంతలో ఆ ప్రక్కన నీళ్ళ మడుగులో స్నానం చేసి పెద్దగా ఘీంకరిస్తూ వేగంగా ఒక పెద్ద కొండలాంటి ఏనుగు ఈ మూడింటి వైపు వచ్చింది.

ఆ ఘీంకారానికి ఆ వేగానికి ఆ కారానికి భయపడి ఈ మూడు జంతువులు దాక్కున్నాయి. కొద్ది సేపటికి ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకొని బైటకు వచ్చి వాటి వాదన వినిపించాయి. ఆ వాదన విని కొండంత ఏనుగు నేనే గొప్ప, నేనే బలశాలిని అని అరిచి, కొట్టినంత పని చేసి వాటిని ఒప్పించింది.

తప్పేదిలేక బతుకు జీవుడా అనుకుని ఆ ఏనుగుతో కలిసి 10 అడుగులు ముందుకు వేసాయి. అంతే ఆ పక్క పొదల్లోంచి పెద్ద సింహం గాండ్రిస్తూ వీటిమీదకు వచ్చింది. చేసేది లేక ప్రాణం అరచేతిలో పెట్టుకుని ఏనుగుతో సహ కాలికి బుద్ధి చెప్పాయి.

పిల్లలూ ఈ కథ వలన మీకు తెలియాల్సిన నీతి ఏంటంటే ఎవరికి వారే తానే – గొప్ప, తానే బలవంతుడు అని విర్రవీగకూడదు. ఆహంకారం కూడదు. తెలివితో బ్రతకాలి.

కూచిపూడి నృత్యం – ఒక సంప్రదాయ కళ

కూచిపూడి నృత్యం తెలుగువారి ప్రత్యేక నృత్యరీతి. ఇది ఆంధ్రరాష్ట్రంలో కృష్ణాజిల్లాలోని దివిసీమలో ‘ కూచిపూడి’ అనే గ్రామంలో కొన్ని శతాబ్దాల పూర్వం అవిర్భవించిన కళారూపం. ఈ ఊరి పేరుతోనే ఇది ప్రసిద్ధమైంది.

సిద్ధేంద్ర యోగి కూచిపూడి నాట్యకళకు మూలపురుషుడు అంటారు. అయన నాడు ప్రచారంలో ఉన్న యక్షగానాది కళారూపాలను స్వీకరించి కూచిపూడి నృత్య ప్రక్రియను అభివృద్ధి చేశాడు. ఈయన రచించిన నాట్య నాటకం,భామాకలాపం.తెలుగులో ఇది మొట్ట మొదటి నృత్యనాటకం. కూచిపూడి నాట్యకళాకారులు విస్తృతంగా ప్రదర్శించే నాటకమిది.

నాట్యం అభినయప్రధానం అభినయం నాలుగు రకాలు. అవయవాల కదలికతో భావవ్యక్తీకరణ అంగికాభినయం. భాష ! ద్వారా వ్యక్తీకరణ వాచికాభినయం. వేషం ద్వారా భావవ్యక్తీకరణ ఆహార్యాభినయం. శరీరంలో కలిగే మార్పుల ద్వారా భావవ్యక్తీకరణ సాత్వికాభినయం.

కూచిపూడి కళాకారులు తమ నృత్య నాటకాలతో పాటు పగటి వేషాలు కూడా వేస్తారు. వాళ్లు వేసే పగటి వేషాల్లో ప్రధానమైనది అర్ధనారీశ్వరవేషం. అర్థనారీశ్వర వేషంలో కుడివైపు పురుషుడు, ఎడమవైపు స్త్రీ ఉంటారు. ఈ రెండు వేషాలను వేరుచేస్తు పై నుండి క్రింది వరకు ఒక తెర ఉంటుంది. ఒక వేషం మాట్లాడేటప్పుడు రెండోవైపును తెర కప్పుతుంది.

జనానికి వినోదం కలిగించడం వారిని నాటకంవైపు ఆకర్షించడం ఈ పగటి వేషాల ప్రయోజనం. ఈ వేషాల ద్వారా సాంఘిక దురాచారాలను విమర్శించడం కూడా ఉంది.

కూచిపూడి నాటక ప్రదర్శనలను ‘ భాగవత మేళా’ అని కూడా అంటారు. వీటిల్లో స్త్రీ పురుష పాత్రలు రెండూ ఉంటాయి. కాని ఇటీవలి వరకు స్త్రీ పాత్రను కూడా పురుషులే ధరించేవారు. ఇప్పుడు స్త్రీలు కూడా ధరిస్తున్నారు.

Summary

Kabaddi is common in most of the villages of India. It is a game of all age groups. It is mostly played during festivals and fairs. This game is widely played in Andhra Pradesh. It is the official game of Andhra Pradesh. The game requires no specific equipment. It can be played in a small space. It is played with physical strength and mental sharpness and it requires the combination and cooperation of body and mind. The game promotes physical and mental strength.

Kabaddi is a team game played between two teams of seven players each. The court has fixed measurements. The game is played in two halves of twenty minutes each. In between the two halves, there is a five minute break.

The cant Kabaddi… Kabaddi… Kabaddi is the main feature of the game. The player who crosses the central line with the cant is called the raider. The raider tries to tag the players of the other team and the other team tries to tackle the raider. When the raider comes back, the raider from the other side comes into the opponents court.

Kabaddi is the national game of Bangladesh. It is palyed in other Asian countries too. Now-a-days Pro-kabaddi has become very popular. The game is played in the ‘Asian Games’.

కబడ్డీ.. కబడ్డీ… కబడ్డీ…. అనే కూత కబడ్డీ క్రీడ యొక్క ముఖ్యాంశం. కబడ్డీ అనే కూతతో మద్య లైన్ కు దాటి అవతలి జట్టు కోర్టులోకి వెళ్ళే క్రీడాకారుణ్ రైడర్’ అని అంటారు. అవతలి కోర్టులోని క్రీడాకారుల్ని తాకడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తే, అవతలి జట్టు క్రీడాకారులు రైడర్ ని కట్టడి చేయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తారు. రైడర్ సొంత కోర్టులోకి తిరిగి రాగానే, ప్రత్యర్థి కోర్టు నుంచి మరొక రైడర్ ఇవతలి కోర్టులోకి వస్తాడు.

కబడ్డీ బంగ్లాదేశ్ దేశ జాతీయ క్రీడ. మిగిలిన ఆసియాదేశాల్లో కూడా కబడ్డీ ఆడతారు. ప్రస్తుతం ప్రో – కబడ్డీ చాలా జనాకర్షణ పొందినది. ‘ఆసియన్ క్రీడల్లో కూడా కబడ్డీ ఆడతారు.

అమ్మ : అవునయ్యా! మీరు మాయింటికి ఎన్నిసార్లు వచ్చేవారో! ఎంతగా బతిమలాడే వారో! నేనే బడికి పంపేదాన్ని కాదు. పైగా విసుక్కొనేదాన్ని. నా మనసు మార్చి బడికి పంపేలా చేసారు. మీరు లేకుంటే నా బిడ్డ ఎందుకూ పనికిరాకుండా పోయేవాడు.

మోహన్ : అవును ! గురువుగారూ! ఆరోజు మీరు చేసిన పని వల్ల నా జీవితం మారిపోయింది. నాలాగా బడి మానేసిన పిల్లలు ఎంతోమంది ఉన్నారు. నేను కూడా అలాంటి పిల్లల కోసం పని చేస్తాను. నన్ను ఆశీర్వదించండి.

చిక్కు ప్రశ్న- వివేకవంతమైన జవాబు

అనగనగా ఒక రాజు. ఆ రాజు గారు అరవై ఏళ్ల ఉత్సవంలో ఒక ప్రకటన చేశారు. “రాబోయే పున్నమి రోజు నేనొక ప్రశ్న వేస్తాను. దానికి జవాబు చెప్పిన వారికి వెయ్యి బంగారు కాసులు ఇస్తాను”. ఇదీ రాజు గారి ప్రకటన.

పున్నమి రోజు రానే వచ్చింది. జనం తండోపతండాలుగా రాజధానికి చేరుకున్నారు. అందరూ రాజుగారు అడిగే ప్రశ్నల కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు. రాజుగారు ఇలా చెప్పారు.

“మహారాణిగారికి గుత్తివంకాయకూర తినాలని పించింది. వెంటనే వంటవాడిని పిలిచింది. కూరలలో మసాలా బాగా వెయ్యి, గుత్తివంకాయ కూర ఘుమఘుమలాడుతూ ఉండాలి అని చెప్పింది. వంటవాడు రంగంలోకి దిగాడు. సన్నెకల్లు మీద మసాలా నూరుతున్నాడు. కూర వండక ముందే వాసన గుబాళించేస్తోంది.

వంటవాడి కూతురు ఉయ్యాలలో పడుకొని నిద్రలేచి ఏడుస్తోంది. పొయ్యి దగ్గర ఉన్న నీళ్ల గంగాళం పట్టుకొని నంటవాడి కొడుకు ఆడుకొంటున్నాడు. ఆ నీళ్లుపడి మంటలు ఆరుతున్నాయి. అది చూసిన వంటవాడికి ఎక్కడలేని కోపం వచ్చింది.

దీన్ని వంటవాడి భార్య చూసింది. “ఓరేయ్! నీకు పొయ్యిదగ్గర ఏం పనిరా? పొయ్యిలో – పడ్డావంటే నీకు చావు మూడుతుంది”. అని వాణ్ణి పట్టుకొని దూరంగా లాగింది. ఎలాగైతేనేం గుత్తివంకాయ కూర తయారైంది. దాన్ని తిని ఆ రుచికి మహారాణి మహదానంద పడిపోయింది. సంతోషం పట్టలేక ఆమె వంటవాణ్ణి పిలిచింది. కొన్ని బంగారు కాసులు బహుమానంగా ఇచ్చింది.” అని కథ చెప్పడం ముగించారు. “కథ బాగా విన్నారుగా! రాణిగారు వంటవాడికి ఎన్ని బంగారు కాసులు ఇచ్చింది ?

ఇది ప్రశ్న. సమాధానం కథలోనే ఉంది. ఎవరు జవాబు చెబుతారో చెప్పండి”. అన్నాడు రాజు. పండితులందరూ తలలు గోక్కున్నారు. జవాబును మాత్రం ఒక్క రైనా ఊహించలేకపోతున్నారు. 5వ తరగతి చదివే వెన్నెల కూడా కథను బాగా విన్నది. “రాజుగారూ! నేను జవాబు చెబుతాను” అంటూ పెద్దగా అరిచి చేతులూపింది. జవాబు చెప్పమన్నాడు మహారాజు, మహారాజా! రాణిగారిచ్చిన కాసులు “వెయ్యి నూట పదహారు” అంది వెన్నెల. “శభాష్! చిన్నదానివైనా సరిగా చెప్పావు”. అని దగ్గరకు తీసుకున్నాడు మహారాజు. సింహాసనం మీద కూర్చోపెట్టుకున్నాడు.

Grammar

Read the following sentences.

The poor traveller is continuing his journey.
Observe the underlined words. Both the subject (The poor traveller) and the verb (is) are in the singular form. This is the way how the subject and the verb in a sentence should agree with each other. This means that the verb in a sentence must agree with the subject in number and person.

Now read the following sentences.

THE WISE JUDGEMENT

Summary :

There was a poor traveller. He was walking through the streets of a town. He did not eat anything for two days. He did not have any money to buy food. He had only a piece of dry bread.

Oneday, the traveller passed by an eating house. He saw several people sitting around the fire, They were eating and drinking. There was cooking pot full of meat balls with delicious smell. The traveller’s mouth watered. The owner of the eating house saw this. He asked the traveller if he wanted to eat some meatballs.

The man said he had no money and without money he cannot eat anything. He took out the dry bread out of his pocket. He held it over the pot. After some time, he ate the bread imagining he ate meat balls. The eating house owner got angry.

The owner took the traveller to the magistrate’s court. That day, Nasruddin the scholar was the magistrate that day. He asked the owner of the eating house the problem. The owner said he had to pay for the smell of the meat balls. The magistrate asked the traveller his opinion. He asked for a pardon as he could not pay the money. The magistrate (scholar) then told the man that he would pay the owner.

The owner expected something big from the magistrate. The magistrate took two pennies from his pocket. He made the owner listen to the sound of the coins. The owner listened to the sound with his two ears. He asked the magistrate why he was doing it. But the magistrate told him that it was the correct payment for the smell of meat balls.

అనగా అనగా ఒక యాత్రికుడు. ఆ యాత్రికుడు పట్టణపు వీధుల గుండా నడచుకొంటూ వెళు తున్నాడు. రెండు రోజుల నుంచి అతనికి ఏ ఆహారము లేదు. ఆహారం కొనుక్కోవడానికి అవసరమైన జబ్బు కూడా అతని దగ్గర లేదు. కేవలం ఒక ఎండు రొట్టె ముక్క మాత్రమే అతని దగ్గర ఉన్నది.

ఒకరోజు ఆ యాత్రికుడు ఒక భోజన గృహం మీదుగా వెళ్తున్నాడు. ఆ గృహంలో కొంతమంది నిప్పుచుట్టూ కూర్చొని ఉండడం ఆ యాత్రికుడు చూశాడు. వాళ్లు తాగుతూ, తింటూ ఉన్నారు. అక్కడ ఒక వంట పాత్రపై మాంసపు తినుబండారాలు ఘుమ ఘుమ లాడుతున్నాయి. వాటి వాసన పీల్చగానే యాత్రికుడి నోరు ఊరింది.

భోజన గృహపు యాజమాని దీనిని గమనించాడు. ‘అతడు ఆ యాత్రికుడిని మాంసపు తినుబండారాలు తినాలను కుంటున్నావా? అని అడిగాడు. అపుడు యాత్రికుడు తన దగ్గర డబ్బు లేదనీ, డబ్బు లేకుండా అతడు ఏమి తినలేనని చెప్పాడు. కొంత సేపటి తర్వాత, తన వద్దనున్న ఎండు రొట్టెముక్కనే మాంసంగా భావించి, ఎండు రొట్టె ఆరగించసాగాడు. యాజమానికి కోసం వచ్చింది.

అప్పుడు యజమాని ఆ యాత్రికుడిని న్యాయమూర్తి కచేరీకి తీసుకువెళ్లాడు. ఆ రోజున పండిత నసీరుద్దీన్ న్యాయమూర్తిగా ఉన్నాడు. నసీరుద్దీన్ ఆ భోజన గృహ యజమానిని సమస్య చెప్పమని కోరాడు. అప్పుడు యజమాని తన మాంసపు ఘుమఘుమలని ఆస్వాదించినందుకు డబ్బులు కట్టాల్సి ఉందని వాదించాడు. నసీరుద్దీన్ యాత్రికుడి అభిప్రాయం అడిగాడు. అతడు డబ్బు చెల్లించలేనని, క్షమించవలసిందిగా కోరాడు.

అప్పుడు ఆ న్యాయమూర్తి, ఆ యజమానికి తానే తిరిగి చెల్లిస్తానని చెప్పాడు. ఈ మాట వినగానే యజమానికి సంతోషం వేసింది. న్యాయమూర్తి నసీరుద్దీన్ జేబులోనుంచి రెండు పెన్నీల నాణాలను తీశాడు. ఆ నాణేలను చప్పుడు చేసి యజమాని రెండు చెవుల దగ్గరా వినిపించాడు. న్యాయమూర్తిని ఎందుకు ఆపని చేస్తున్నారని అడిగాడు. న్యాయమూర్తి నసీరుద్దీన్ మాంసపు ఘుమఘుమలకి అదే సరిపోయే చెల్లింపు అని యజమానితో అన్నాడు.
