THE SAINTLY TIGER
Show the following pictures and encourage the students to frame the story.
Answer:
Once, an old tiger lived in a forest. He was unable to hunt animals any more. He was old and weak. It was very difficult for him to get prey. “I have to find some trick. Otherwise I will have to die”.
The tiger thought and thought. He got an idea, he began saying, “I am very old. I have become a vegetarian,” “I will not hunt any more” and soon.
These words spread in the forest. Innocent animals came to the tiger and paid respects. The tiger pounced on the animals when they came to him.
A fox came to know of the tiger’s words. He began to think, “Can a tiger become a saint?”. He wanted to find out the truth.
The fox came to the tiger’s cave. He observed the fort prints of animals. All the fort points were only going towards the cave, there are not foot points on the way back.”
The fox said, “The tiger is a cheat. Don’t go to the cave. The tiger had to starts to death.
