నీటిని మంటలు ఆర్పుటకు, వ్యవసాయానికి, చేపల సాగుకు, నిర్మాణ రంగంలోనూ ఉపయోగిస్తాము.

నీరు లేకపోతే ఏమి జరుగుతుంది?
జవాబు.

1. నీరు లేకపోతే భూమి పై జీవం ఉండదు. నీరు అతి ముఖ్యమైన జీవన ఆధారము. నీరు మనకు అనేక రకాలుగా ఉపయోగపడును.
2. నీరు లేకపోతే మొక్కలు, జంతువులు చనిపోతాయి.
3. నీరు లేకపోతే పంటలు కూడా సరిగా పండవు.

నీరు లభించే వనరులకు కొన్ని ఉదాహరణ లివ్వండి.

నీటి వనరులకు ఉదాహరణ :-
సముద్రాలు, నదులు, సరస్సులు, ప్రవాహాలు, చెరువులు చెలమలు, నీరు దొరికే సహజమైన వనరులు.

మీరు నీటిని ఎలా ఆదా చేయగలరు. ” నీటిని క్రింది విధంగా ఆదా చేయాలి.

1. త్రాగటానికి చిన్న గ్లాసును ఉపయోగించాలి.
2. పండ్లు, కూరగాయలను పారే నీటి క్రింద కాకుండా పాత్రలో నీరువేసి కడగాలి.
3. బకెట్ నిండి నీరు పొర్లిపోయేలా చేయరాదు.
4. నీటి ట్యాంకులు నిండిన వెంటనే విద్యుత్ మోటార్‌ను ఆపి వేయాలి.
5. నీటి గొట్టాలలో లీకులు లేకుండా చూడాలి.

వాటర్ బాటిళ్ళను తీసుకుని అందులో చిటికెడు ఉప్పు వేసి, కొన్ని వేడినీళ్ళు పోసి, పటంలో చూపిన విధంగా బ్రష్ ను పైకి, క్రిందకు కదుపుతూ శభ్రం చేయాలి. అలా చేయటం వల్ల రోగ కారక క్రిములు నశిస్తాయి.

King Sibi And The Dove

Summary:

King Sibi was a very kind ruler. One day, while he was in the court, a dove flew and sat on his lap. The dove said that the king should protect it from the eagle. The king agreed to take care of it. Then the eagle came and asked the king to leave its prey, or else it should starve. The king, as he has given a word to dove told the eagle that he would provide anything other than the dove. Then, the eagle asked him, a portion of his flesh equal to the weight of dove. The king ordered to bring scales and placed dove in one scale and his flesh in the other. Many times scales were heavier on the doved’s side. So, the king himself sat in the scale.

The dove and the eagle turned as God Indra and God Agni. They said, they wanted to test his char¬ity and got satisfied. And gave his body back.

సారాంశము

శిబి చక్రవర్తి ఎంతో దయగల పరిపాలకుడు. ఆడినమాట తప్పడు. ఒక రోజు తాను రాజమందిరంలో ఉండగా ఒక పావురం వచ్చి తన ఒడిపై వాలింది. ఆ పావురాన్ని గ్రద్ద నుంచి కాపాడమని వేడుకుంది. శిబి చక్రవర్తి సరేనంటూ మాట ఇచ్చాడు. కాసేపటికి గ్రద్ద అక్కడకు వచ్చి ఆ పావురం తన ఆహారమని, దాన్ని విడిచి పెట్టమని అడిగింది. అప్పుడు శిబిచక్రవర్తి, తాను ఆ పావురానికి మాట ఇచ్చానని, దాని బదులుగా ఇంకేదైనా ఇస్తానని అన్నాడు. అయితే నాకు నీ కండ భాగాన్ని ఆ పావురం బరువుకి సరిపడా తూగేలా ఆహారంగా ఇవ్వమంటుంది. దాంతో శిబి చక్రవర్తి తూకం తెమ్మని ఒక దాంట్లో పావురాన్ని, మరో దాంట్లో తన శరీర కండ భాగాన్ని పెడుతూ వుంటాడు.

కానీ ఎప్పుడూ పావురం వైపున బరువుగా ఉండడంతో, శిబి చక్రవర్తి తనకు తాను వెళ్ళి ఆ తూకంలో కూర్చుంటాడు. వెంటనే పావురం మరియు గ్రద్ద దేవతలు ఇంద్ర మరియు అగ్నిగా మారి శిబి చక్రవర్తి దానధర్మాలను పరీక్షించి సంతోషించారని అంటారు. తన శరీరాన్ని తిరిగి ఇస్తారు.

Uses of ‘Can’ and ‘May’ :
Observe the following sentences from the lesson.
1. “May I join you?” said the mixer.
Yes ! You may.

2. “Can I help you?” said the stove.
Yes! You can. “You are most welcome”, said the recipe book.

In these two sentences ‘Can’ and ‘May’ are used to ask for permission. If we want to ask permission, we should use ‘Can’ or ‘May’.

The Recipe Book

Once there lived a man named Raju. He owned a hotel everyone who came, liked the food. Raju, once got a bulk order to cook dinner for a party. But, he fell sick. Even though, he gained all his confidence and decided to cook.

But, suddenly he fainted. The Recipe book saw this. He talked to his friends.

He told about Raju and asked them for help. Firstly, the pot said, that it is big to prepare rice. Later on, the mixer was interested to join as it can grind things.

And then, the knife came as it slices the vegatables. Finally, the stove came and asked them for its participation. The recipe book welcomed it and they began cooking.

All the dishes were ready. And when Raju woke up, he was surprised to see the food. When he tasted, they were all delicious. Realising that all this was done by recipe book, he said, ‘who helped you in cooking’? Then, the recipe book pointed at all his friends. At last, Raju thanked all of them.

అనగనగా రాజు అనే వ్యక్తి ఉండేవాడు. అతను ఒక చిన్న హెూటల్ కి యజమాని. అక్కడకి వచ్చే వారందరికీ, భోజనం ఎంతో బాగా నచ్చేది. ఎంతో రుచిగా ఉండేది. ఒకసారి రాజుకి ఒక పార్టీకి భారీ స్థాయిలో వంటకాలు చేయవలసి వచ్చింది. కాని అతని ఆరోగ్యం సహకరించలేదు. అయినాసరే, తాను చేయగలనని సిద్ధపడుతాడు. కాని ప్రయోజనం ఏమి లేదు. చక్కెరతో కింద పడ్డాడు. ఇదంతా చూసిన వంటల పుస్తకం, వంట తయారికీ ఎవరైనా ముందుకు వస్తారా ? అని అడిగింది.
