Mahitha’s sister started at 3 : 00 in the afternoon and travelled for 1 hour 45 minutes. At what time did she reach Eluru ?
Starting time of Mahitha’s sister = 3 : 00
Journey time = 1 hr 45 mnts
Reached time of Mahitha’s sister to Eluru = 4 : 45 mnts

Question 3.
How much time did she take for the travel ? (to and fro)
Total time for the travel = 3 hr 45 mnts.

The departure and arrival times of the trains from Vijayawada to the various stations are given below. Write the total time of the journey from Vijayawada to destination.

Question 2.
Sports competitions were held in Kondepadu school from 10:45 am to 3:45 pm. For how many hours was the program held ?
Competitions will be held in time period = 10 : 45 am to 3 : 45 pm
Program helding time = 10 : 45 – 3 : 45 = 7 hrs

Question 3.
Robert is leaving from Singapore from Vijayawada at 22:00 hours. Express this time in 12 hours format.
Robert leaving time = 22 : hrs (in 24 hrs format)
In 12 hrs format the time was = 22 : 00 – 12 : 00 = 10 : 00 p.m.

Question 4.
Abhinav was a night watch-man in a school. He used to attend his duty at 5:30 pm. Express this time in 24 hours format.
Attending time at Abhinav = 5 : 30 pm (In 12 hrs format)
In 24 hrs format the time was = 12 : 00 + 5 : 30 pm = 17 : 30 hours

Question 5.
Every day Himadas practises Yoga from 4:30 am to 6:15 am and from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Find the total time she spends for her practises every day ?
First practice time of Himadas = 4 : 30 am to 6.15 pm = 1 : 45 mnts
Second practice time of Himadas = 4 : 00 am to 5.30 pm = 1 : 30 mnts
Total time she spends for practices = 1: 45 + 1 : 30 = 3 : 15 mnts

Question 6.
While Babu’s team was learning to play Kabaddi, on Monday they practices from 6 : 15 am to 7 : 05 am. On Tuesday they practiced 3:25 pm to 4:15. How many minutes did they practice in both days?
Practise time on Monday = 6 : 15 am to 7 : 05 am = 50 mnts
Practise time on Tuesday = 3 : 25 pm to 4 : 15 pm = 50 mnts
Total time they practice = 50 + 50 = 100 mnts per day

Question 7.
The bus departs from the teriminal at 11 : 20 am and arrives the destination at the 2 : 40 pm. How long did the bus travel?
Bus departs time = 11 : 20 am
Bus arrived time = 2 : 40 pm
Bus travelled time = 14 : 40 – 11 : 20 = 3 : 20 hrs

Question 8.
Sneha began her home work at 4 : 30 pm. She worked for 80 minutes. At what time did she finish?
Sneha home work began time = 4 : 30 pm
Working time = 80 mnts = 4 : 30 + 30 + 50
Sneha finished her work at = 5 : 50 mnts.

∴ 2019 is a non-leap year.

Morarji Desai was born on 29.02.1896 and passed away on 10.04.1995. How many birthdays did he celebrate ?
Morarji Desai was born on = 29-02-1896
Morarji Desai was passed away on = 10-04-1995
His age was 99 years.
Desai celebrated his birthday every 4 years. .
There are 24 leap years between 1896 and 1995.
So he celebrated 24 birthdays in his life.

Question 6.
The famous Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22.12.1887 and passed away on 26.04.1920. How many leap years were there in his life period ?
