ఇక్కడ భిన్నాలలో లవము, హారం కంటే పెద్దదిగా లేదా సమానంగా ఉంది. భిన్నాలలో లవము, హారము కంటే పెద్దదిగా లేదా సమానంగా ఉంటే ఆ భిన్నాలను ‘అపక్రమ భిన్నాలు’ అంటారు. అందువలన \(\frac{5}{2}, \frac{7}{3}, \frac{9}{4}, \frac{2}{2}\) లు ‘అపక్రమభిన్నాలు’.

రెండవ పద్ధతి :

ఆ) మొదటి పద్ధతి : 12 మరియు 28 ల గ.సా.భా 4. 12:
\(\frac{12 \div 4}{28 \div 4}=\frac{3}{7}\),
కాబట్టి \(\frac{3}{7}\) అనేది \(\frac{12}{28}\) కు కనిష్ట రూపము.
రెండవ పద్ధతి :

ఇ) మొదటి పద్ధతి : 30 మరియు 50 ల గ.సా.భా 10
\(\frac{30 \div 10}{50 \div 10}=\frac{3}{5}\)
కాబట్టి. \(\frac{3}{5}\) అనేది \(\frac{30}{50}\) కు కనిష్ట రూపము.
రెండవ పద్ధతి:

ఈ) మొదటి పద్దతి : 40 మరియు 25 ల గ.సా.భా 5
\(\frac{40 \div 5}{25 \div 5}=\frac{8}{5}\)
కాబట్టి, \(\frac{8}{5}\) అనేది \(\frac{40}{25}\) కు కనిష్ట రూపము
రెండవ పద్ధతి : \(\)

ఉ) మొదటి పద్ధతి : 16 మరియు 32 ల గ.సా.భా 16.
\(\frac{16 \div 16}{32 \div 16}=\frac{1}{2}\)
కాబట్టి \(\frac{1}{2}\) అనేది \(\frac{16}{32}\) కు కనిష్ట రూపము,
రెండవ పద్ధతి :

ఊ) మొదటి పద్ధతి : 8 మరియు 40ల గ.సా.భా 8.
\(\frac{8 \div 8}{40 \div 8}=\frac{1}{5}\),
కాబట్టి \(\frac{1}{5}\), అనేది \(\frac{8}{40}\) కు కనిష్ట రూపము.
రెండవ పద్ధతి :

కనిష్ట రూపంలోకి మార్చడానికి ఇచ్చిన భిన్నాన్ని ఏమి చేయాలి ?

చక్కెర సంచి బరువు = \(\frac{1}{2}\) కి.గ్రా

పక్రు గోడలో \(\frac{1}{5}\) వ భాగానికి మొదటి రోజున, \(\frac{2}{5}\) వ భాగానికి రెండవ రోజున రంగు వేసెను. అయితే ఆ రెండు రోజుల్లో అతడు రంగువేసిన భాగం ఎంత?

చిక్కు ప్రశ్న- వివేకవంతమైన జవాబు

అనగనగా ఒక రాజు. ఆ రాజు గారు అరవై ఏళ్ల ఉత్సవంలో ఒక ప్రకటన చేశారు. “రాబోయే పున్నమి రోజు నేనొక ప్రశ్న వేస్తాను. దానికి జవాబు చెప్పిన వారికి వెయ్యి బంగారు కాసులు ఇస్తాను”. ఇదీ రాజు గారి ప్రకటన.

పున్నమి రోజు రానే వచ్చింది. జనం తండోపతండాలుగా రాజధానికి చేరుకున్నారు. అందరూ రాజుగారు అడిగే ప్రశ్నల కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు. రాజుగారు ఇలా చెప్పారు.

“మహారాణిగారికి గుత్తివంకాయకూర తినాలని పించింది. వెంటనే వంటవాడిని పిలిచింది. కూరలలో మసాలా బాగా వెయ్యి, గుత్తివంకాయ కూర ఘుమఘుమలాడుతూ ఉండాలి అని చెప్పింది. వంటవాడు రంగంలోకి దిగాడు. సన్నెకల్లు మీద మసాలా నూరుతున్నాడు. కూర వండక ముందే వాసన గుబాళించేస్తోంది.

వంటవాడి కూతురు ఉయ్యాలలో పడుకొని నిద్రలేచి ఏడుస్తోంది. పొయ్యి దగ్గర ఉన్న నీళ్ల గంగాళం పట్టుకొని నంటవాడి కొడుకు ఆడుకొంటున్నాడు. ఆ నీళ్లుపడి మంటలు ఆరుతున్నాయి. అది చూసిన వంటవాడికి ఎక్కడలేని కోపం వచ్చింది.

దీన్ని వంటవాడి భార్య చూసింది. “ఓరేయ్! నీకు పొయ్యిదగ్గర ఏం పనిరా? పొయ్యిలో – పడ్డావంటే నీకు చావు మూడుతుంది”. అని వాణ్ణి పట్టుకొని దూరంగా లాగింది. ఎలాగైతేనేం గుత్తివంకాయ కూర తయారైంది. దాన్ని తిని ఆ రుచికి మహారాణి మహదానంద పడిపోయింది. సంతోషం పట్టలేక ఆమె వంటవాణ్ణి పిలిచింది. కొన్ని బంగారు కాసులు బహుమానంగా ఇచ్చింది.” అని కథ చెప్పడం ముగించారు. “కథ బాగా విన్నారుగా! రాణిగారు వంటవాడికి ఎన్ని బంగారు కాసులు ఇచ్చింది ?

Read the following sentences.

The poor traveller is continuing his journey.
Observe the underlined words. Both the subject (The poor traveller) and the verb (is) are in the singular form. This is the way how the subject and the verb in a sentence should agree with each other. This means that the verb in a sentence must agree with the subject in number and person.

Now read the following sentences.

THE WISE JUDGEMENT

Summary :

There was a poor traveller. He was walking through the streets of a town. He did not eat anything for two days. He did not have any money to buy food. He had only a piece of dry bread.

Oneday, the traveller passed by an eating house. He saw several people sitting around the fire, They were eating and drinking. There was cooking pot full of meat balls with delicious smell. The traveller’s mouth watered. The owner of the eating house saw this. He asked the traveller if he wanted to eat some meatballs.

The man said he had no money and without money he cannot eat anything. He took out the dry bread out of his pocket. He held it over the pot. After some time, he ate the bread imagining he ate meat balls. The eating house owner got angry.

The owner took the traveller to the magistrate’s court. That day, Nasruddin the scholar was the magistrate that day. He asked the owner of the eating house the problem. The owner said he had to pay for the smell of the meat balls. The magistrate asked the traveller his opinion. He asked for a pardon as he could not pay the money. The magistrate (scholar) then told the man that he would pay the owner.

The owner expected something big from the magistrate. The magistrate took two pennies from his pocket. He made the owner listen to the sound of the coins. The owner listened to the sound with his two ears. He asked the magistrate why he was doing it. But the magistrate told him that it was the correct payment for the smell of meat balls.

అనగా అనగా ఒక యాత్రికుడు. ఆ యాత్రికుడు పట్టణపు వీధుల గుండా నడచుకొంటూ వెళు తున్నాడు. రెండు రోజుల నుంచి అతనికి ఏ ఆహారము లేదు. ఆహారం కొనుక్కోవడానికి అవసరమైన జబ్బు కూడా అతని దగ్గర లేదు. కేవలం ఒక ఎండు రొట్టె ముక్క మాత్రమే అతని దగ్గర ఉన్నది.

ఒకరోజు ఆ యాత్రికుడు ఒక భోజన గృహం మీదుగా వెళ్తున్నాడు. ఆ గృహంలో కొంతమంది నిప్పుచుట్టూ కూర్చొని ఉండడం ఆ యాత్రికుడు చూశాడు. వాళ్లు తాగుతూ, తింటూ ఉన్నారు. అక్కడ ఒక వంట పాత్రపై మాంసపు తినుబండారాలు ఘుమ ఘుమ లాడుతున్నాయి. వాటి వాసన పీల్చగానే యాత్రికుడి నోరు ఊరింది.

భోజన గృహపు యాజమాని దీనిని గమనించాడు. ‘అతడు ఆ యాత్రికుడిని మాంసపు తినుబండారాలు తినాలను కుంటున్నావా? అని అడిగాడు. అపుడు యాత్రికుడు తన దగ్గర డబ్బు లేదనీ, డబ్బు లేకుండా అతడు ఏమి తినలేనని చెప్పాడు. కొంత సేపటి తర్వాత, తన వద్దనున్న ఎండు రొట్టెముక్కనే మాంసంగా భావించి, ఎండు రొట్టె ఆరగించసాగాడు. యాజమానికి కోసం వచ్చింది.

అప్పుడు యజమాని ఆ యాత్రికుడిని న్యాయమూర్తి కచేరీకి తీసుకువెళ్లాడు. ఆ రోజున పండిత నసీరుద్దీన్ న్యాయమూర్తిగా ఉన్నాడు. నసీరుద్దీన్ ఆ భోజన గృహ యజమానిని సమస్య చెప్పమని కోరాడు. అప్పుడు యజమాని తన మాంసపు ఘుమఘుమలని ఆస్వాదించినందుకు డబ్బులు కట్టాల్సి ఉందని వాదించాడు. నసీరుద్దీన్ యాత్రికుడి అభిప్రాయం అడిగాడు. అతడు డబ్బు చెల్లించలేనని, క్షమించవలసిందిగా కోరాడు.

అప్పుడు ఆ న్యాయమూర్తి, ఆ యజమానికి తానే తిరిగి చెల్లిస్తానని చెప్పాడు. ఈ మాట వినగానే యజమానికి సంతోషం వేసింది. న్యాయమూర్తి నసీరుద్దీన్ జేబులోనుంచి రెండు పెన్నీల నాణాలను తీశాడు. ఆ నాణేలను చప్పుడు చేసి యజమాని రెండు చెవుల దగ్గరా వినిపించాడు. న్యాయమూర్తిని ఎందుకు ఆపని చేస్తున్నారని అడిగాడు. న్యాయమూర్తి నసీరుద్దీన్ మాంసపు ఘుమఘుమలకి అదే సరిపోయే చెల్లింపు అని యజమానితో అన్నాడు.

ఆకాశంలో మేఘాలు పింజెమబ్బుల్లా ఒక దానిమీద ఒకటి పడి దొర్లుతూ విన్యాసాలు చేస్తున్నాయి. తూర్పున నల్లని మేఘాలు ఒత్తుగా కదులుతున్నాయి. అవి ఏనుగులు బారులు తీసి వరుసగా’ నడుస్తున్నట్లు, కొన్ని కదం తొక్కుతున్నట్లు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి.

పిల్లలూ! ‘నేలపట్టు’ పేరు ఎప్పుడైనా విన్నారా ? అది ఒక పక్షుల రక్షిత కేంద్రం. ఇది నెల్లూరు జిల్లా దొరవారి సత్రం మండలం సమీపంలో ఉంది. ఈ ప్రాంతానికి మేమూ, గూడబాతులు (పెలికాన్), ఎర్రకాళ్ల కొంగలు, నల్లకాళ్ల కొంగలు, నారాయణ పక్షులు, తెడ్డుముక్కు కొంగలు, చుక్కమూతి బాతులు, స్వాతి కొంగలు లాంటి ఎన్నో పక్షులు దేశ విదేశాల నుండి ఇక్కడకు వస్తాము.

అందులో గూడబాతులు అక్కడ చెట్ల పై గూళ్లు కట్టి, గుడ్లను పొదిగి పిల్లలను చేస్తాయి. ఇంతకీ మేమెవరో చెప్పలేదు కదా! మమ్మల్ని సముద్రపు రామచిలుకలు (ఫ్లెమింగోలు) అంటారు. మేము చాలా అందంగా ఉంటాము. మేమంటే మీకే కాదు, పెద్దలకు కూడా ఇష్టమే.

మా పేరుతోనే సూళ్ళూరు పేటలో ఫ్లెమింగో ఫెస్టివల్ వేడుకలు ప్రతి సంవత్సరం జనవరి నెలలో జరుపుతారు. మేము పులికాట్ సరస్సులో చేపలు వేటాడుతూ కనిపిస్తాం. అక్కడ నీళ్ళు తగ్గిపోతుంటే మా పిల్లలతో సహా మా దేశమైన నైజీరియాకు వెళ్ళిపోతాం. పిల్లలూ! మా గురించి తెలుసుకున్నారు కదా! ఒకసారి మీరు కూడా మమ్మల్ని దర్శించండి.

పొలం పొడవు = 350 మీ.
రోడ్డు పొడవు = 450 మీ.

In 1923, a Khadi Exhibition was held at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. A little girl was standing at the gate of the exhibition. She was about fourteen years old. She was told not to let anyone in the exhibition hall without a ticket.

Jawaharlal Nehru came to the exhibition grounds and wanted to go in. He had neither a ticket nor the money to buy one. The girl at the gate stopped him. “You can’t go in unless you have a ticket, sir!” She told the great man. The people who had put up the exhibition came running to the gate. “Do you know, who you are stopping?” asked one of them. “Yes, I do,” said the girl. “It is Jawaharlal Nehru. But I’m only following the rules.”

Then they bought a ticket for Nehru, and he went into the exhibition hall. “The country needs a girl like her, who can do their duty with courage,” said Nehru. The little girl, Durgabai grew up, worked hard and helped many people. She did many things for the welfare of women.

I am very eager to share my opinion about the film”Taare Jameen Par”. It means in English – “Stars on Earth”. It was produced and directed by Aamir Khan. The film is about an 8-year old boy. the boy was excellent in art. But because he had a disability called ‘dyslexia’, he was poor in subjects. The parents send him to a boarding school.

The art teacher in that school finds the boys problem. He helps boy out to overcome the problem. Aamir Khan took the role of the art teacher. Darshed Safary plays the role of 8-year old Ishan. Amole Gupte directed this film. This film deals with an important problem in children.

4. Talk about a freedom fighter :
Alluri Seetarama Raju is the brave freedom fighter from Andhra. He was bom ‘Mogallu’ village. He grew up as a young man in the British mle. He understood that Indians were oppressed by the British. The wealth of India was robbed off the British. He understood that freedom from the British mle was the only way for India.

So, he decided to join the fight against the British. He led the tribal people. The fight by Seetharama Raju was well known. He had a group of followers. Finally he was killed by the British. But his name and work will be alive among the people of Andhra.

5. A great person you have seen.
Sri P.V. Narasimha Rao is great person. I like him for his ability as ruler. He knew several languages. He knew many Indian languages and some foreign languages. He was an able ruler also. He acted as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for some time. Later he acted as Minister for external affairs in Indira Gandhi’s cabinet.

Later , he became the prime minister of India. During his rule, he brought so many changes in Government policies. He translated Viswanadha Satyanarayana’s ‘Veyi Padagalu’ into Hindi with the title ‘Sahasra Phan’. This year we are celebrating his 100th birth anniversary.

6. Parents :
I have loving parents. They look after us very carefully. My father is a farmer. He works-on the farm and runs some business also. My mother is a home maker. Both of them are helpful to each other. They help us very much. They always encourage us in our studies. They encourage as we play in the evening. My mother is a very good story teller.

She narrates stories from Panchatantra, Akbar and Birbal, Vikram Betal, Tenali Rama Krishna etc. My father tells us how to behave in the society. My mother tells us what to eat and what not to. She also tells us manythings about clothes, relatives, festivals neighbours. Both of them are a God’s gift to us.

7. A successful woman :
Indra Nooyi is one of the successful women. She is the Chief Executive Officer and chairperson of Pepsico. She was bom in Chennai in 1955. She studied in Madras Christian College, Chennai and Indian Institue of Management in Calcutta. She became the Chief Executive Officer, Pepsico in 2006. Nooyi was named on Wall Street Journal’s list of 50 successful women.

She is the president of World Justice Project, in June 2018, Nooyi joined the International Cricket Council Board as the first independent female director. Also, she became a member of the board of directors at Amazon. In India, she used to play cricket. She is still active as a Chief Executive Officer. Girls of this generation can leam a lot from the life of Indra Nooyi.

8. My best friend :
Mahesh is my best friend. He and I studied together in a primary school. In secondary school, we studied separately. Now, he is an officer in a bank. I work as a teacher in a Government school. He is a fun loving person. He is always kind to others. He never hurts anybody. He is a blend of good habits. He has the habit of rising early. He regularly takes exercise. He is healthy because of his food habits. He eats food very limitedly. He spends his free time in library. For all these good habits, 1 like Mahesh very well.

My school is MPP School, Kothapalli. It has two buildings. There are 56 students going to this school. All the children are regular in attending the school. There are three teachers working in this school. Our school has a big playground. There are many trees in our school. There are many colourful birds in the trees. In the afternoon, we have our lunch supplied in the school itself. Our teachers teach very well. I like our school very much.

Savitri is my favourite heroine. She acted in Telugu and Tamil films. Savitri acted as heroine in many popular films. She was the most popular heroine of the past. She was known as ‘Mahanati’. A film called ’Mahanati’ was a success a few years ago. The film was the biographical picture of Savitri. She was a well known artist and a good director. Savitri’s acting was excellent in most of the films. She was a very generous person also. She donated her valuable ornaments for welfare of army. She will be remembered for ever with her range of films.

We have very good teachers in our school. All of them are highly educated. They are very friendly to the children. They explain the lessons very well. They are very carefbl about the slow learners. Also that, our teachers allow us to play in the evenings. In our school, there is a craft teacher. She teaches several things like embroidery, origami, weaving, gardening etc. The children are very happy to water the plants in the guidance of these teachers. In our school, teachers help us play indoor games and out door games. The teachers guide the students as they play. They use good teaching aids to make concepts clear to children. We all love our teachers.

I live in a small village. The village has nearly 2000 population. Most of the families live on agriculture. The village is located in the middle of three hills. There is river flowing through our village. The farmers in our village grow paddy. Some people also have cattle. They sell milk to Government milk centre and get money. Some people sell things in shops. Our village has very good roads, the village panchayat keeps the surroundings clean.

There is a school in our village. There is an anganwadi centre near our school. The teachers teach very well. They don’t live in the village. They come from outside. They teach lessons excellently. There are some elders in the village. All the people in village follow the advice given by them. Our village is a very good village. The people are very kind to each other.

The lesson ‘The Wondrous Women’ is the collection of experiences of some wonderful women. Ameena is a school student. The preparations were going on for celebrating her school day. The entire school was very busy in arrangements. The head master of the school invited Ameena’s parents to attend the celebrations.

After a long time, Ameena was going to meet her friends. She was sitting in the front row. She was watching the programmes carefully. Her friends were performing and showing their talents of all the programmes, Ameena liked the Wondrous Women most. Now she narrates the programme to us.

నాకు నచ్చిన పుస్తకం – రామాయణం. ‘పిల్లల బొమ్మల రామాయణం’ – అనే పుస్తకం కొని చదివాను. ఎంతో ఆనందం కలిగింది. అంత మంచి పుస్తకం చదివినందుకు గొప్పగా భావించాను. రామాయణంలోని అన్ని పాత్రలు, సన్నివేశాలు మనస్సును ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. ముఖ్యంగా రాముని పాత్ర. నాకు చాలా ఇష్టం.

1. శ్రీరాముడు ఆచరించిన ధర్మం నాకు నచ్చింది.
2. శ్రీరాముని గురుభక్తి నాకు నచ్చింది ,
3. శ్రీరాముని పిత్రు భక్తి నాకు నచ్చింది.
4.  శ్రీరాముని ప్రజాపరిపాలన విధానం నాకు నచ్చింది.
5. శ్రీరాముని సోదర ప్రేమ నాకు నచ్చింది.
6. శ్రీరాముని క్షమా గుణం నాకు నచ్చింది.
7. శ్రీరాముని పరాక్రమం నాకు నచ్చింది.

ఈ పుస్తకం చదివి నేను నా ప్రవర్తన మార్చుకున్నాను – మాట తీరు మార్చుకున్నాను.

“పుస్తకం హస్త భూషణం” అంటే చేతికి పుస్తకమే ఒక అలంకరణ. ఇది ఒక సూక్తి, ఇలాంటి సూక్తులు కింద మరికొన్ని ఉన్నాయి. చదవండి. ఇలాంటి సూక్తులను సేకరించి రాయండి.

ఋషి శ్రేష్ఠులు వేల సంవత్సరాలు తపస్సు చేసి శరీరం రక్తం ధారపోసి జ్ఞానాన్ని సంపాదించారు. ఇలాంటి జ్ఞాన ధనాన్ని దాచి పెట్టిన పెట్టెలాంటిది గ్రంథాలయం.

నవ్వులతాతయ్య చిలకమర్తి

గమ్మత్తుగా మాట్లాడితే నవ్వొస్తుంది. ఒక మాటకే రెండు అర్ధాలు వచ్చేటట్లు మాట్లాడితే నవ్వొస్తుంది. మాటలతో ఏడ్చేవాళ్ళను నవ్వించొచ్చు, నవ్వేవాళ్ళను ఏడ్పించవచ్చు. చిన్న పిల్లలు, పెద్దలు అందరూ నవ్వేటట్లు ఈ చిలకమర్తి లక్ష్మీ నరసింహం తాతయ్య చాలా కథలు రాశారు.

1890 సంవత్సరంలో ఒకరోజున “ఏమండీ ఒక పద్యం చెప్పరూ” అని ఒకళ్ళు అడిగారట. “నాయనా పూర్వం పద్యం చెపితే బంగారం, వెండి యిచ్చేవారు. ఇప్పుడు పకోడి అయినా యిచ్చేవాళ్ళు లేరు” : అని పకోడి మీద ఈ కింది పద్యం చెప్పారు.

యా కరకర యా ఘుమఘుమ యా పొంకములా
రాకలు పోకలు వడుపులు
నీకే దగు నెందులేవు నిజము పకోడీ.

మన దేశంలోను, మన వూళ్ళోను, మన యింట్లోనూ, మనలోను వుండే గమ్మత్తులన్నీ, వీరు కథల్లో, వ్రాశారు వాటిలో కొన్ని గమత్తులు చూడండి.

శంకరం  :  ఏమెక్కి ? పొద్దెక్కి, ఎండెక్కి వచ్చాం.
హరి  :  మీరు ఏ నీళ్లు తాగుతారు? చెరువునీళ్లా? నూతినీళ్లా?
శంకరం  :  అదియేటో మాకు తెలియదు. మేము మంచినీళ్లు తాగుతాం
హరి  :  ఏ పాలు పుచ్చుకొంటే మనం చెడిపోతాం?
శంకరం  :  పాపాలు, కోపాలు
