→ The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act 2006 – the main aim of this act is to develop and regulate MSMEs.
→ MSME.S are classified into two classes.
- Manufacturing enterprises
- Service enterprises
→ 90% of MSMEs in India are unregistered, and 40% of exports in India are through the MSME channels.
→ MSMEs provide a good market for foreign companies to start venture capital businesses in India.
→ Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contribute nearly 8 percent of the country’s GDP, 45 percent of the manufacturing output, and 40 percent of the export.
→ చిన్నతరహా, మధ్యతరహా అభివృద్ధి, 2005 బిల్లు- జూన్ 2006లో “సూక్ష్మ, చిన్న, మధ్యతరహా అభివృద్ధి చట్టం, 2006” గా ఏర్పడినది. దీని ఉద్దేశ్యము భారతదేశములో చిన్న, మధ్యతరహా సంస్థల ప్రోత్సాహకానికి, అభివృద్ధికి సహకరించడము.
→ MSME చట్టం, 2006 ప్రకారము MSMEలను రెండు రకాలుగా వర్గీకరించడమైనది. అది ఉత్పత్తి సంస్థలు, సేవా సంస్థలు. ఈ సంస్థలు ప్లాంటు – యంత్రాలలో పెట్టుబడి పరిమితి ఆధారముగా నిర్వహించబడినవి.
→ భారత ప్రభుత్వము ఈ సంస్థల ప్రోత్సాహకానికి, అభివృద్ధికి, ఆధునీకరణకు కొన్ని వసతులు, సౌలభ్యాలు అందజేస్తుంది.
→ ఈ MSMEలు దేశ స్థూల జాతీయ ఆదాయములో 8 % వాటా, తయారీ ఉత్పత్తులలో 45 % వాటా, ఎగుమతులలో 40 % వాటాను అందిస్తాయి. ఇవి ఉద్యోగ కల్పనలో వ్యవసాయం తర్వాత అత్యధిక స్థానాన్ని ఆక్రమించినవి.
